When it comes to birth, women are women’s best resource and support. Please SHARE YOUR BIRTH EXPERIENCE! We want to hear from both Moms AND Dads. Please share both HIGH and LOW points.

LET YOUR VOICE BE HEARD!

Answer one or some or all of these questions in a page or less:

What key details do you remember about the “birth day”? (time of day, who was present, where did you labor/birth)
Did you feel there were many birth options available to you? were you aware of what those options? Were your requests and desires heard?
Did any part of the birth experience surprise you? Was there any aspect you were not prepared for?
Was your birth experience Empowering? How so? (or if not, what changes could have been made?)
How has the birth experience changed you? (self image, relationships with others, etc.)
How did friends and family react to your birth decisions?
What would you like friends and family to know about interacting with you after the birth? What kind of support (physical/emotional/spiritual) did you need at that time?
How have your opinions and beliefs about birth changed from before and after giving birth?

This site will soon be absolutely fertile with birth resources, book critiques, and local birth stories from the Utah Valley. We will be continually growing and posting, so please come back and visit often.

We would love for our Spanish-speaking population to be involved and have their voice heard as well, if you know anyone who would like to participate and needs something translated or would like to send in a story, please email us and we can translate and post stories or comments in both English and Spanish.
